Microsoft Stores in the United States and United Kingdom are offering great discounts on some of their Lumia smartphones.

Microsoft phones have experienced a steady decline in popularity in the past few months while Android smartphones are becoming more popular by the day. Though these Lumia phones feature some of the best hardware that can be found in smartphones today, the Windows Operating System they run is becoming obsolete and uninteresting for smartphone users, many of whom find the Android or iOS operating systems a better option.

Microsoft Store U.S. is offering discounts on the Lumia 950 XL and the Lumia 950, and the deal is further sweetened with a free Microsoft Display Dock for Windows Continuum worth $99.

Microsoft Lumia 950 & Lumia 950 XL

The Microsoft Lumia 950 has a 5.2-inch Touchscreen display, while the 950 XL has a 5.7-inch Touchscreen display. Both have the same 2560 * 1440 pixel resolution, but have different pixel density; the Lumia 950 with 564ppi and the Lumia 950 XL with 514ppi. The Lumia 950XL weighs 165grams, heavier than the Lumia 950 which weighs 150 grams.

The Microsoft Lumia 950XL is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, and the Lumia 950 is powered by an 808 model of the same processor. Both come with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 200GB using a micro SD card.

Both the Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950XL sport a 20MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera. They have the removable battery but the Lumia 950’s battery has a capacity of 3,000mAh while that of the Lumia 950XL has a capacity of 3,340mAh.
